Building a home is one of the biggest decisions you'll make. On a trail, surprises around the bend are half the fun — on a build, they're not. Planning and clear communication up front are what keep the unknowns out of your project, so you always know where things stand.
Trailhead is based here, building across Washington and Iron County. Six years as a project manager and nearly 200 homes taught me what matters: quality work and a homeowner who's never left guessing.
It's just me — you'll work directly with the person managing your build, start to finish.
Meet Us
Meet Austin Ewell, Owner
Austin Ewell is a proud southern Utah native who has spent nearly his entire life in the construction industry. Growing up around job sites gave him a deep respect for quality craftsmanship and hard work; those values are the foundation of Trailhead Homes. Austin brings that hands-on experience to every project, treating each home as if he were building it for his own family.
When he's not building, Austin is most at home in the red rock country he grew up in. He loves camping, hiking, fishing, and riding dirt bikes.
Above all, family comes first. Austin's greatest joy is spending time with his wife, Elle, and their two children.
What I Do
Full-service general contracting, start to finish.
I handle design coordination, permitting, subcontractors, and every phase of construction myself — so nothing falls through the cracks between trades. I take on ground-up builds and full remodels, but a small repair or a single-room refresh gets the same care. No job is too small to do right.
